khawalid, a bedouin tribe located on the hills north east of Haifa, in the evulun valley, and near the kibbutzim ramat yohanan and kfar hamacabbee.

Ishmael khaldi, (or Ish as most people knows him), a diplomat and proud bedouin Israeli, who initiated an advocacy project called: “Hike and Learn with Bedouins in the Galilee” that has brought thousands of young Jews to the village, to learn about Bedouin culture and history as part of Israel. Khaldi is dedicating time and effort to help Khawalid transform from conservative to modern society, to become part of Israel’s success story.

The Israeli Bedouin diplomat Ismail Khaldi initiated a project called “Hike and Learn with Bedouins in the Galilee” that has brought thousands of young Jews to the village, to learn about Bedouin culture and history. He said these encounters inspired him to become a diplomat.
